A "Berry" Fruitful Day,UNTIL. . . . .
We opened the jam to the taste!! YUK......it wasn't even edible, even though we followed the directions to the letter! What a disappointment. We have no idea what we did wrong! Oh well, I guess there's a lesson in there somewhere, I'll let you know when I find it! lol. . . . Gotta go now, I'm off to the store to buy some Smucker's ;o)

Awww...and they looked so pretty! You got farther than I would have, having never canned in my life!☺
Oh no!! What a disappointment!
Did you taste them before you canned them?
Arrgh! I wonder what went wrong; they look lovely! Too bad your effort was in vain. ;)
I'm so sorry about your jam! Homemade jam is just the BEST....I wonder what went wrong?
Oh no. What a disappointment after all your hard work.

PS- If you ever figure out what made them so bad, PLEASE share!!
Hi
The pectin was probably old... you can use them on pancakes and waffles like syrup.

;)
So sorry to hear about your experience. Did the jam simply not set? Was the taste bad? Wishing you much better luck on future attempts.
That's too bad. The strawberries looked so good.
