"My Favorite Things"
Give-away
To say thank you for such a warm welcome to the "blogging" world I would like to share three of my "favorite" things! I wish it could be with everybody but my daughter, Miss Bonnie, will be randomly drawing one name out of the hat! All you have to do is go to the comment section of this post and with just a few lines tell me what is one of YOUR favorite things! You have until next Friday, July 7. I will announce the winning name Friday evening. The recipient will receive one of my vintage hankies, a Crabtree and Evelyn votive candle, and a lavender sachet! I am looking forward to hearing all about YOUR favorite things!!

this is wonderful I hope I'm entered my name is judy
I have many favorite things (fresh roses in my home, hankies with tatted edging, tea cups), but today I'm feeling nostalgic so I will say that my favorite thing is my mom's 1940-something O'Keefe and Merritt stove. Silly? Maybe. We once remodeled a whole kitchen so that I could move it in and use it (shortly after my folks passed away). When we moved to our current home, which does not have natural gas, I found a home for it in my parlor!
My favorite things include: my birdhouses I have scattered all around our property (I love watching the birdies come and go building their nests), my sunny kitchen nook where all my houseplants are located, and my scrapbook paraphenalia area where I work to preserve all our family memories. :)
Susan, you have a beautiful blog! Lavender is one of my favourite things, also. I have a hardy variety that I grow in my garden (Zone 3). I think I can harvest enough this year to make some lavender wands for my linen closet.
I also love pretty teacups, beautiful linens, long flowing dresses and skirts, hand-knit sweaters and hats and mittens, soft old quilts... I could go on and on.
As to a product I like, I have just recently discovered Murphy's Oil Soap. It seems gentle and leaves a lovely fragrance after cleaning my hardwood floors.
I have blogged myself about a few of my favorite things. Here is the link A Nichols Worth of News: A Few of My Favorite Things...
One of my favorite things is Burt's Bees lemon cuticle cream... gotta love it!
Wow! I don't know if I can choose "one" favorite thing! One of my favorites has to be vintage doilies. I have more, probably, than I could use at one time, but I love the different patterns, and thinking about the woman taking time to make her home more beautiful. Now I get to enjoy the fruit of her labor! And her work has endured longer than her own lifetime.
Ladies, I am enjoying reading about your favorite things so much! It almost feels like we are chatting across the table over a cup of tea. You are also giving me so new ideas as well!!UH OH, that could be bad!LOL
Some of my favorite things are: glass bottles, doilies, candle holders, the old sewing machine that my dear grandma sewed many lovely quilts on, old photographs, old crocks and flowers. My list could go on and on but these are things that come to mind right now!

Yay! A giveaway..ok, let me narrow down my favorite things. One of my favorite things is a green candy dish that my youngest (then 10 maybe?) rescued from the neighbor's trash! It has one tiny chip in the corner of the lid but is otherwise perfect. I love it for its looks and because my son saw its value...and gave it to me. :)
What a nice idea! One of my favorite things is a tiny glass vase filled with potpourri that my oldest daughter gave me for Mother's Day when she was five. Another favorite thing of mine is Tyler Candles. They have some wonderful scents. My new favorite one is called "lipstick".
Hi, Susan! One of my favorite things is something that is filled with lots of my favorite things - a set of old suitcases! I have three of them stacked next to my bed. I use them for storing some of my goodies and in the top one, I have displayed several items - all purple!
You are so sweet to do this!
I also have many favorites. Bird houes, bird baths, and feeders. old kitchen utensils, molds, old cookie cutters.
I love lavemder too a friend gave me a bottle of lavender linen spray and I sprayed it on my sheets and pillows each night.
This is my first visit here and all I can say is:
Susan, you are doing a terrific job and I can't believe you feel inexperienced! I love all the photos and know that we share similar interests/passions.
I adore vintage linens, hankies, doilies, tea cups, lavender, lovely books, scented candles, tea parties, and so much more, and thanks to all of my blogging friends, I too can discover that there are many others who share my interests, including my online friend Clarice, whose comments blessed my heart greatly!
I have your blog in favourites now, Susan...keep up the great visual and journalling!
