Chili On A Chilly Day!

With temperatures dropping almost 30 degrees this afternoon and the sound of sleet tapping on our window panes, I thought it would be the perfect time to cook up a batch of chili. I love how the aroma permeates throughout the house and it's even all the more better when it's the first of the Fall season. The perfect accompaniment to the chili was a pan of golden cornbread. Comfort food at it's best!

It's cold here too. Must be the thing to do when it gets cold. We also had chili for supper. I didn't make cornbread though. We like it laddled over Fritos. Then we place a few on top too. Yum, yum. Same idea I guess.

Keep warm. We may get a few snow flurries tonight here in Michigan.

Blessings,

Sher

Wow, sleet already? It is cold in Tennessee. I can't believe it. Makes you wonder what kind of winter we will have. Your chili looks so yummy and I made chili last Friday with cornbread. I think it is my favorite way to eat chili. Cornbread could be a meal all by itself. lol

Blessings,
Patty

Your chili looks delicious. I love chili, but my husband will not eat the beans, and we can't afford to cook separate meals!! I love your dishes, what pattern are they? They are lovely!

Christy Lee, I know what you mean about not cooking two separate meals! My china is the Old British Castles by Johnson Bros. They call the color pink but I think it looks more like red:)

Are you in Virginia? That's where my father and sister are (Waynesboro and Annandale, respectively). I love your plates!

I love your pink china... what is the pattern called? I have one old place setting called Memory Lane that I got from my mother. She always collected and set her table with mix n match sets that she would piece together from antique stores.

It has totally surprised me that I am especially partial to the pink, because I am not your typical 'girly girly' girl.
