Ah, we are now entering my very favorite season of all........FALL!!! I love everything about Fall, from the beautiful changing leaves, fat orange pumpkins, clear blue skies, apple cider, candy corn, pretty sweaters, football, and the cool, crisp feel in the air. My goodness, I could go on and on!! As a matter of fact, I love Fall so much that Mr. P and I were married in October and spent our honeymoon in New England!
Candle now glowing on our fireplace mantle.
I would have to say that I think above all else, my very favorite thing about Fall is that it becomes time to "cozy" up our nests. As the mother hen it is my duty and privilege to ready our home for each new season for my family. Blankets are brought out, piping hot cocoa and cider are at the ready to warm chilly hands , spice scented candles are glowing, yummy soups and stews bubbling on the stove, and fireplaces are burning with the familiar "snap, crackle, pop!" All of these things add such a warm and cozy feeling to a home. Not just on the outside(physical), but more importantly, on the inside(heart).
Fat orange pumpkins and indian corn add that festive touch.
As a homemaker, I strive to make our home one of comfort and a place of rest for my family. A place where they can, as the song says, "drop their worries at the doorstep."I want them to know that our home is a place of refuge, a place where they are always welcomed with open arms and happy hearts. I want it to be that "little slice of heaven" that is made especially for them! As they enter the door I pray that they would feel that they love this "Place Called Home!"
Little twinkle lights mixed in with the leaves and orange berry garland. It won't be too long before the fireplace will be lit!

I LOVE your new header!! Fall is my favorite time of the year. I love everything you mentioned. I got home from San Antonio and the very next day I decorated my home for Fall. I am not finished yet but I got a great start. I can't wait until the weather gets cooler and my beloved U.T. VOLS play football tonight!!
