Mission Accomplished!
Y'all remember this project I was working on? Well, I'm happy to report that it is finished!I was determined that I was going to complete this project in a timely manner so I have been busy sifting through my recipe boxes, cookbooks and slips of paper (lol) to pick out the recipes that I use on a consistent basis. That is exactly why I entitled the book Family Favorites, because I wanted it to be the recipes I used regularly. I have decided that after doing this I need to make a smaller binder that I will entitle Holiday Favorites. It will contain special holiday meal recipes, Christmas cookies, etc.. I hope to have that completed before Thanksgiving.
Cover
Sample page (notice I typed in very large print so these very old eyes could see!)
Dividers. I had only five categories: breads, desserts, main dishes, side dishes, and misc. I wanted to keep it real simple!
I have a different project "up my sleeve" that I will hopefully share with y'all next week;o)

Good job, Susan!

You got that accomplished quite quickly. Well done!!
Very well organized. I love your cover too, so pretty.
Yay - good job, Susan! I think you've inspired me to do something will all of MY scraps of paper, etc. LOL I feel so blessed to have a lot of recipes written in my mother's handwriting and I'd love to pass them along to Taylor & Tess. Maybe I should make plans to make each of them a special book like that, huh?
Ohhhh Susan I just love the cover of your recipe binder. You did a lovely job of putting it together. Makes me want to get started doing something with all my bits and pieces of paper.
I did this very project a couple of years ago and it was so satisfying! Just a warning, everyone who sees it is going to want one! I spend a ton of time making copies for "distant" relatives who wanted a copy.
Beautiful job
Blessings

Looks great, good job! I sure need to do that with mine too.
I just found your blog so I have some back reading to do.
Looks wonderful!
Beautiful. This will be a family heirloom someday.
Wow! You're finished already? You did a great job and your book is beautiful. Would you come to my house and help me with mine? ~Adrienne~
Wow, that was quick!! Well done, too!
That was a lot of work! :)
This looks wonderful! I have something similar, but it's only halfway done, and to make the matter worse I keep insisting on adding new recipes (lol)!! Seeing yours inspires me though; maybe I'll tackle that project in the new year.

Looks like my house today, thanks for making me feel that I am not the only one lost in the clutter while decking the halls! I am confident that the finished project will be beautiful.
