A Fun Day!
I played "hookie" from blogging yesterday because I went to the big Christmas Craft show in Richmond. Oh what fun! Here a few of my treasures!

I got this cute winter welcome slate to put out on our wrought iron hanger in our front yard. I think it is a nice way to say "welcome" to our guests!

A little gift for the newly engaged couple in our family:)

Y'all know I don't sew but I appreciate those that have the talent. I bought this darling Christmas apron for my precious niece. Along with the apron I will be sending some child size baking utensils and a cookie cookbook so she can have some fun in the kitchen this Christmas:) Since she is three I imagine there will be more flour on the floor than on the apron but that's part of the fun! LOL

Susan...why in the world didn't I follow thru on my hunch and email you that I would be there??!! I kept telling Sarah who went with me, "Just think, Susan P. could be here and we could see her!" And she responded with, "Well, would you know what she looks like?" "Sure I would, her picture is on her blog."

And as we were leaving (around 2-ish) I said, "Well, we didn't see Susan." So...I definitely thought about you while I was there.

Glad you had fun and bought some neat things. I can't post goodies that I bought because recipients read my blog!! LOL :)

Woo hoo, great finds!!! There's a wonderful annual craft show in our tiny little country town this weekend. It's actually pretty large and folks come from all over to it. Dani and I are hoping to get over there to it today or tomorrow sometime. Your purchases are great!!

I love the snowman slate! Hmmm...maybe Artist Twin could paint something similar!
And I was ROFL at your ROFL comment on my ornament post! That was priceless, my red faced friend! LOL I think I'll go back and add the word "embroidery" in front of floss... just in case. That was my giggle for the day! Thanks for making me smile! :o)
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings,
~Amy

Rona, thank you, Happy Housewifes Day to you, too! I didn't even know there was such a thing!!

Deb, you will never believe this but I was thinking the exact same thing!! Guess who also left around 2ish?!! We probably crossed paths and didn't even know it because of the large crowds. I picked up my coupon for the Spring Show in March, LET'S MAKE A DATE:)!!

Copper's wife, hope you and Dani have fun at your craft show tomorrow!

Mrs. U, I know you would have loved it, they had some darling baby things;)

Amy, everytime I see dental floss from now on I am going to cringe;) LOL *still with a red face!

Mrs. C, I sure did!

Kelli, I can't wait for my sister to take a pic of my niece in it!

It's been years since I've been to a craft show. Sounds like you had a lot of fun! I had to do a double take when I saw the cute apron. Just today at a thrift store I found a small pillow case someone made in exactly the same teddy bear fabric! I'm planning to use it as a re-usable Christmas gift bag :)

Amy, what a coincidence! The fabric is darling, isn't it?

Chrissy, oh yes, do I remember!! All of my time was taken up with my little ones, caring for my husband and home. I still do the last two (LOL) but since my babies are grown it allows me more time to do other things. I promise you will make it to a craft show one day, until then, enjoy every minute you can with those babies because they DO GROW UP! **Do you have a good friend that has little ones? Maybe you could help each other out once in awhile for a few hours. Maybe you could watch her littles for an afternoon and then she could do the same for you. That would allow you just a little time to maybe do something special that you enjoy. Just a thought:)
