Sweet Simplicity

It's the simple things. I can't tell you how much joy I get from them. A beautiful vintage hankie. A container that once served another purpose now holds a beautiful bouquet. The luscious scent of the cinnamon basil as it gently wafts through the air. I feel content, I feel at peace, I am happy!

Susan,

Love, love, love your fresh flower bouquet! We've enjoyed lots of flowers from our garden this yearm, too--more so than any other year. I've taken bouquets to church ladies' luncheons and given one to a birthday friend and placed them on our table for guests. Of course, everyone oohs and aahs over them, but really, they're (almost) free for the cutting and arranging. There's definitely nothing like being able to go out to your yard/garden and picking flowers to decorate your home. I love your purples!

Very pretty! I hope to have more flowers next year, with varieties I can actually cut and arragne. That will be so nice!

Hi Susan,

Did you grow the cinnamon basil? I had a herb a couple of years ago that I got at the farmer's market and it just smelled so good. I had it in a pot on my front porch. I would go out there and sit with my coffee and rub my hand over the leaves and just take in the wonderful scent. It had a fresh clean smell. I cannot remember the name and I haven't been able to find it again but I am always looking for it. Maybe next year.

Deb, I don't know what I enjoy more, deciding which flowers to pick, arranging them, or giving them away and making people happy:)

Clarice and Kelli, thank you!!

Jammy, I am so glad you visited my blog! It is so much fun to arrange flowers, you will get so much enjoyment out of that next year. During the winter months I go and buy the "cheapie" bouquets from the grocery store to brighten up the house:)

Ladie Laurie, thanks for email address!! I'll be in touch!

Terri, thank you!! I still haven't done anything with my side bar:( One day I will and I will be able to put all the neat "extra's" on my blog! I saved the wonderful info you gave me, maybe I will get it done this month!

Mary, yes I did! It smells so heavenly I wish I could share it with you!
