This picture has held a prominent place in our home for many years. These rules are the rules we try to live by and rules that we have tried to instill in our children.
HOME RULES
Always be honest (Proverbs 12:22)
Count your blessings (Psalms 34:1-3)
Bear each other's burdens (Galatians 6:2)
Forgive and forget (Micah 7:18)
Be kind and tender hearted (Ephesians 4:32)
Comfort one another (1 Thessalonians 4:18)
Keep your promises (Romans 4:21)
Be supportive of one another (Acts 20:35)
Be true to each other (Revelations 15:3)
Treat each other like you treat your friends
(Matthew 7:12)
But most important
Love One Another deeply from the heart
(1Peter 1:22)

What wonderful rules to live by. I'm going to write these down and share them with my family.

I've been catching up! Your home is so lovely and welcoming. Thanks for the fire/sentimental things tip.

I really liked the story about the embroidery. It's so true, isn't it?

I also love your quilt. I grew up in West Virginia and it was hard for me not to imagine MY great-grandmother and our visits as you spoke of yours. :) Thanks for that!

I LOVE those home rules!!! I need to see if i can find one of those for my home......i think they are rules that a lot of people try to live by but sadly they don't realize that they come from the Bible.
