The Rose
This rosebush is right outside my kitchen window. While doing dishes I like to gaze at it and admire it's beauty. Yesterday we had a ferocious thunderstorm. I watched as this rose was battered with rain and wind and tossed to and fro. I was sure in the morning I would awaken to find the rose gone.Much to my joy, this is what I found! I was thinking that sometimes we are like this rose. Sometimes we are "battered" and "beaten" by life's storms and we are almost certain we will not be able to survive. Too much. . . . too much pain, too much sorrow, too many struggles. But, through God's great grace and mercy we find we CAN endure and be all the stronger for it. God is ever steadfast and faithful. Praise be to God!
