Mr. P and I collect clocks. This is one of a few that isn't an antique and comes with a story!

This piano is played only be one person and that is my 22 year old son. He is a big, burly firefighter and he plays the most beautiful classical music you've ever heard! Every Christmas Eve we all gather round the piano and sing carols. He is in an apartment now but when he gets a house the piano will go with him!
I am showing a picture of the cocktail table for a reason. See the basket below? It contains our wedding photo album, baby albums, and our family bible. When my son was in Fire Recruit School he was taught that if they have enough time and it is deemed safe then they can go back in and look in the front room for personal keepsakes such as bible, pics. They are taught to look at the coffee table and end tables, that is why I have them right at "the ready" in the basket, just in case.
This is a view of our t.v. cabinet. The oil lamp on the left came from my great grammy. I collect willow tree figurines and those three are my favorite: Wife/Husband, Mother/Son, Mother/Daughter. I wonder why?? LOL On the right you can see a small blue plate that is put out by the Royal Coppenhagen Co. I collect these but only get the ones that really "speak" to me. They have a new one come out every Mother's Day.

g.l.h., thank you for your very kind words.

jennifer, Yay, another blue/yellow fan!

mrs. linebarger, I loved your idea about dual posts on our clocks. When do you want to do it???

Ack!!! That was a very tongue-in-cheek comment!!! I really only have just a very few clocks and all but one have limited histories!!!! I was teasing, Susan!! I'm sure you have so many and all with great family stories behind them!!!

Mrs. Linebarger (I am ROFL) I have "egg" on my face!! I thought you were serious! I was really looking forward to doing the dual posts with you:0) I think I need a nap!

heehehee...ROFL here, too. I was very red-faced when I read your post. I hope I would never be so bold....well, I guess I was...You couldn't see my teasing face through my typed words now, could you?? Oh, my!! Susan, you really must share about your clocks, though. I may, one day, share something about ours in a post. I don't think you need a nap, Susan. I think you just need on line friends who learn to not be such big teasers! Have a blessed evening!

I loved seeing all your lovely things!! You have done a wonderful job combining the two colors. I especially like the bowl of lemons on the table. They are so cheery!
