Cat Nap
It is raining "cats and dogs," (pun intended LOL) in my little corner of the world. This is how my "boys" are deciding to spend their day! Oh my goodness I wish I could join them! SIGH!
What's the weather like in your little corner of the world?

It's a little overcast today...but at least it's not raining right at the moment. We've had rain for so many days in a row that I've lost track!

Raining in my part of the state (same state as yours!) as well, actually pouring is more like it!! I'm the linen lady from the other day!! Love your idea about the hat box. My daughter has an honest-to-goodness old hat box from the downtown Richmond flagship Miller & Rhoads store, it is a treasure. I will tell her about your idea for using it for other than display purposes! :o)

Kim, has all this rain postponed a lot of softball games? Oh well, at least we will have really green grass! LOL I'm trying to look on the bright side!

Marie (aka the linen lady)LOL, I was so excited when I heard that your daughter had a hatbox from the old Miller and Rhoads store! I use to go there as a child and as a special treat my Mom would take me to the tea room! I also remember her bringing back yummy pastries home (in a black and white box!) The lady that worked in the hat department for many, many years has opened up a little shop on Old Street in Petersburg called Second Hand Rose! Neat stuff, hats, old clothing, etc.. sorry this is a book but I got excited!!

My dd's games are done (with her regular team) so right now they are practicing for the All-Star Team. As long as it's not thundering and lightening or downpouring they still have practice in the rain!

My turn to be excited, we used to live in the Petersburg area. We always took our children to see the legendary Santa at the tearoom. When M & R had a bakery, I loved to see their ads in the weekly newspaper, I would often get inspiration for baking from those newspaper ads!

Kim, congratulations on your daughter making all star. That is so exciting! I visit your site everyday but I can't leave a comment because I don't have a Zanga account. Loved the cute little basket graphic you had today!

Marie, I left you a long comment on the zucchini page!!!!
