A Southern Gal's Drink Of Choice!
Ask most any southerner, guy or gal, what their favorite thing to drink is and undoubtedly you will get the same response, sweet tea! Around our Home Place we drink a LOT of it, it's the perfect liquid refreshment on a hot summer day!

By the way, do you know what we like to drink the tea out of? Old mason jars!
Wish y'all could join me:o)

I think I have commented only once on your blog but I have been reading your blog for a long time. I am always blessed when I visit your place. I live in Tennessee and I just made a picture of sweet tea and I had to comment. It just seems drinking out of a mason jar makes it sweeter. LOL
I went to Phoenix, AZ a few years ago and we went to get something to eat and out of habit I ordered sweet tea, the waitress looked at me like I had lost my mind. She said, honey you are in the wrong part of the country. The sugar is on the table. I switched to a coke. I was glad to get back to the South and drink my sweet tea!
Have a great evening!

It simply wouldn't be Southern if you didn't drink it out of a jar. I love it!

Mmmmmmm - I just love sweet tea and we still drink it just as much as when we lived down south...out of Mason jars, too! Sure would enjoy sittin' around and chattin' with ya on your cozy sun porch...wouldn't that be fun?!

Sweet tea is my families favorite beverage. There is never any discussion about what we are drinking because the answer is always sweet tea!

Mason jars, especially the ones like beer mugs that have handles, make great tea glasses. Although I hated the instant tea my mother always used, I'm glad that she didn't follow the Southern tradition of making sweet tea. I like it much better without the sugar and with all the gallons of tea that are consumed in the South, all of that sugar can't be good for us.

I really enjoy your blog, especially about southern girls love to drink tea-out of mason jars included. I remember when I went to my granny's house, out came the mason jars. Thanks for jogging such a wonderful memory. I really enjoy your site and will be back to visit soon. I am off to get some tea, but sadly to say it will not be in a mason jar.
