Our Silver Wedding Anniversary (25 Years)
\
Engraved flutes with our names given to us by our dear children. Along with them they also gave us a weekend getaway trip!! Because of the jury service we haven't been able to go but we are really looking forward to it! We are truly blessed to have such thoughtful children.

Beautiful roses from Mr. P

Beautiful silver and gold intertwined heart necklace given to me by Mr. P.

This is my very, very favorite thing. Mr. P wrote this on the card he gave me. I need to give you some background info first. I have always wanted to do jury duty. As a matter of fact, I have a list of things that I would love to do before I die! Some are skills I want to learn, some are places I would like to visit, some are things I would like to accomplish, etc. When I was called for jury duty I was so happy because I considered it to be a privilege as an American citizen. Anyway, I was talking to Mr. P about my list and I asked him if he had such a list and if so what was on it. He said he didn't have a list and hadn't really ever thought about it. I told him he should make one. So, imagine my surprise when I opened my anniversary card and this is what he had written. Yes ladies, there were tears! I am so very blessed to have this wonderful, amazing man to call my husband! (I hope Mr. P isn't embarrassed by me posting this but I just had to share what a dear and sweet man he is!)

That is the sweetest thing I have ever heard! You have a keeper! I read your blog about every day or so, but I've missed several days. I loved your post on the things you do out of love, my sentiments exactly even though I had to go back to work several years ago due to husband being disabled and having to quit, I will always be a housewife at heart! You remind me of myself! Keep up the good work, I wished you lived closer, I think you and I could be friends! Paula W. from Ohio (amishwoman49@hotmail.com)
