Reality Check!

The last of our wedding company left this afternoon. While visiting, five out of the seven people came down with that horrible throw up virus. YUK. I have never gone through so many towels and sheets in my life. I am in the process now of "decontaminating" everything. Can't y'all just picture me running around with the Lysol in one hand and the Clorox in another? LOL I just found it incredibly funny when I looked at my laundry room this afternoon ~ what ever happened to my "clutter free" zone? I'll tell you what happened, LIFE HAPPENED!! And guess what? I wouldn't have it any other way! Although I must admit it wasn't thrilling to have to clean up all the messes I am so glad I was there to do it for the people that I love. Isn't that what God's love is all about? Instead of looking at it as a horrible duty that I despise doing I can choose to look at it as a perfect opportunity to honor Him!! I praise his name that I had the health and stamina to do it, as well as having a grateful heart that my loved ones were restored back to health. That's better than a "clutter free" laundry room any day! Now, where did I put that Lysol? :o)

Oh, Susan! {{{Susan}}} I'm so glad that you looked at this as an act of mercy and a way to bless your guests. I can only imagine how embarassing and uncomfortable it must have been for them, too. Bless your heart!!

What a difference our attitude makes! Thanks for sharing something we can all learn from.

p.s. I don't know how you are still standing. It took me weeks and weeks to feel Normal after my two children's weddings...

Oh, I cannot imagine! I hope that you don't come down with it, too. Wear gloves. :)

could it possibly have been some type of food poisoning from something at the wedding? Since different people choose to eat different things, and not everyone was sick. Just a thought......you have my sympathy, weddings are so exhausting (and exhilarating at the same time!!) even without dealing with illness. God bless.....

Oh me. It seems to happen like that doesn't it. You have such a great attitude about it all, though. You truly have a servant's heart, Susan.
I'm just catching up my commenting after our whirlwind week, and just read the wedding post. So beautiful! They are such a cute couple!
I loved your picture, too! So pretty!

Susan, hope you don't come down with it. I know it must have been a mess, and I'm sure you'll feel better after the house is clean again and you've rested.

annonymous, that is certainly a very good idea but I know how we got it. My sister's family had all just recovered from it when they visited us and they unfortunately brought a "surprise" visitor with them;o)
