Friday Show And Tell

I am a big advocate of adopting pets from local animal shelters. My home is filled with furry friends and they have all brought me immeasurable joy and happiness. Below is Buster and Bailey's story.

Brothers By Heart
Abandoned and frightened, feeling all alone
Two sad little kitties both needed a home.
"Please adopt us,"they said "and we'll promise we'll be"
"The best little kitties that you ever did see."

Finally one day their wish did come true
A new home and a family, a fresh start anew!
And although these two kitties had two different mothers
The bonds of love have certainly made them brothers!

Do you have room in your home and heart for an unwanted pet?
Please be sure and visit Kelli for more Friday Show and Tell!

Very cute! We rescued a two week old kitten whose mother abandoned him and named him Buster! He's a big cat now!

What a cute poem to go along with your adorable kitties. My cat adopted me! She was a stray and I fed her. You know what happens from there!

I'm sure those kitties are pleased to have such a loving home. My daughter gets her pets from the local shelter, too, and they are quite nice pets.

They are sooo cute! The darker one reminds me of the cat we had at home when I was younger....

Unfortunately, we do not have any pets now - but our neighbour has a cat and he love to have a stroll in our garden!

Best wishes from Germany,
Anita

How cute! My middle son loves cats but is allergic, or else I'm sure we would have had some by now.

I love your poem about the kitties! I would love to have indoor kitties again, but Christie is highly allergic. :-(
When we move, we plan to have OUTDOOR kitties! We are going to adopt 2 kitties, and another puppy.
Your two look very happy together!

They are really cute. I love the color and stripping on the brown one. Very different.

You are wonderful to do that. We have a Buster too, a short hair orange tabby that I saved from going to the animal shelter a couple weeks ago....it's like having a little kid in the house, he talks all the time. That's why we named him Filibuster. We've always had one or two cats for as long as I can remember....

What very blessed kitties to have found a home in your heart. I loved the poem for them, Susan.

I always feel an instant bond with people who have a special love of animals, especially the abandoned and unloved ones in shelters. My husband feels the same way, and we have obtained most of our pets over the past 30 years from the RSPCA or the Cat Protection Society. NEVER from a petshop!

What sweet cats you have Susan. We found our own dear Shadow abandoned in the middle of the road almost 7 years ago.
