A "Summery" Breakfast Table
As y'all know, I love to change out my decorating for the seasons. I wanted a new "summery" look for our breakfast table but I didn't want to spend any money. One of the great advantages of using the same colors throughout your home is that things will always "match" wherever you put them. One of my favorite ways to change things around is by going "shopping" in my "nic nac" closet! I just never know what I'm going to find in there and usually whatever I choose will fit in beautifully with my decor because it is usually in the same color family!
We had a rainy weekend so it was the perfect time to use up the rest of the material from the porch cushions I made. I stitched up the table runner and napkins and then found the pretty flower arrangement and candles in the closet.

I "snipped" some dried hydrangea blossoms off the back of an arrangement and put them in them front on the candle holder!

Voila, I have a new "summery" table and I didn't spend a cent! Why don't you see what you have around your house that you can "recycle" and create a brand new look?!!

For an early birthday gift I received my absolute FAVORITE Yankee candle scent which is Butter cream!! I'm telling y'all, it's smells so good I almost want to eat it! The best part ~ no calories are involved:o) I thought my kitchen counter would be the perfect place to have it since I spend so much time in there;o) To dress it up I added the blue ribbon and dried hydrangea blossoms ~ I love how it looks with the bowl of sunny yellow lemons!

For those of you with young ladies Miss Bonnie will be doing a "guest post" tomorrow. She will share with you one way that she has been preparing herself for the day that she will be a homemaker. Stay tuned!

Susan, your table looks so pretty.
And you are very smart doing all that beautiful sewing. You will be a pro before you know it. :-) Your new candle and ribbon with the lemons look very nice too.

Hmmm, I'll have to check out the Buttercream scent. My current favorite by Yankee Candles is Pumpkin Spice. Cute table decor!
