Laundry Day
Monday is laundry day around our Home Place. As I have said in the past I try to make simple household chores as pleasant as possible and I have found just the way to do that on laundry day! When I wash our bed sheets I like to take the pillowcases and iron them! Yep, you heard me right, iron them!! Why? I just love the feel of a crisply ironed pillow case against my face at night and to take it one step further I iron it using Mrs. Meyers Ironing Spray in the Lavender scent. Oh my, talk about a heavenly smell! Another good thing is that Mrs. Meyers products are so natural that I can feel good about using it for my family. To me, there is nothing more wonderful than slipping into bed at night with nice clean sheets and the lavender scented pillow case to give me sweet dreams;) I also love to use the ironing spray on my hankies, other linens, even some of my delicate clothing. If you are interested in finding Mrs. Meyers products you can go to her website at www.mrsmeyers.com. If you type in your zip code it will show you places in your area that carry Mrs. Meyer's products or you can order directly from the site. You pay a little bit more but to me it is worth it! ** Mr. P wants you to know that he DOES NOT LIKE lavender scented pillowcases and so I'm the only one that gets the scented pillowcase! I wonder why? LOL;)

I've been tackling Mr. Washmore today, too!

I have seen Mrs. Meyer's products mentioned on several blogs. I checked out the website and tried the "locator", but unfortunately no stores in my area carry Mrs. Meyer's. :( I guess I'll have to save up some $$ and order from the web site.

Susan, if and when (maybe not?) I decide to iron my pillowcases, then I'll check out Mrs. Meyers. I don't think I could make myself do it, although I'm really proud of you for tackling it! LOL

Susan, I think I will have to try this, too! I found the Lemon Verbena scent by Mrs. Meyers in our Whole Foods here. (maybe that helps Mrs. C )
I had to giggle at the comment by Mr. P on your last post. Very honorable!

Happy Tuesday, Susan! After Brenda at Coffee, Tea, Books and Me told about free shipping (one day only) on Mrs. Meyer's products last week, I ordered the honeysuckle spring cleaning kit and the lavender toilet bowl cleaner. According to the tracking number, it should be here TODAY! Yay! I don't believe I've ever been so *excited* and looking forward to cleaning our potties! LOL Now with your recommendation as well, I know I'll love the cleaning products!
Like you, if I have to do something...might as well make it as pleasant as possible! It's good to find beauty and contentment in the little things!
Thanks for sharing. You are great at encouraging us all to be joyful homemakers!
Hugs,
Amy

I think I am going to get some of that spray, that is a great idea. I love lavender scented things. I have some body scrub from Bath and body works in lavender. It is my absolute favorite!

Oh, I forgot. Something I do, and at this point I don't think it's harming my iron, is to add a few drops of lavender essential oil to the water in the reservoir of my iron. I guess the result is similar to the ironing spray. It makes me happy to smell the lavender as I iron. I'll definitely have to check out Mrs. Meyer's version! LOL

Amy, when you said, "I don't think I've ever been so excited or look forward more to cleaning our potties," I almost fell off my chair laughing!! I love it!! Thanks so much for a great giggle;)

So glad I could provide a little humor for your enjoyment this fine day! LOL Can you tell I have little ones??!!! With our 3yo ds getting more proficient with 'bathroom priviliges', our *potties* need A LOT of cleaning every single day..and sometimes several times a day! So, if I have to do it...might as well enjoy it! (Big Grin)
Oh well, these days pass so quickly!
Love,
Amy

Hi Susan, I have not used Mrs. Meyer's ironing spray, but I'm going to look for it. I have used Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Countertop spray in Geranium scent and I love it!
