Valentine Wreath

A few people had asked to see my Valentine wreath so here it is! As most of you know, I love to decorate seasonally. I use the same grave vine wreath for each holiday. I simply take off the "old" and put on the "new!" I keep the "old" decorations in individual Ziploc bags and I just label and store away. One of the things I love about the Valentine holiday is the simple "homemadeness" (I don't even think that is a word!) of it! As a child I remember bringing out the construction paper and paper doilies and creating "masterpieces" for those I loved. So much better than Hallmark!!

I never spend a lot of money on my seasonal decorations. I simply used the red ribbon (from dollar store) that was left over from my Valentine banner. The white paper hearts were left from the homemade valentines that I made. The angel that is hanging says, "Love one another" and the red heart ribbon were two items I won from Sharon at September Morn!

I also won this darling red tin heart from Sharon. I simply tied a ribbon and attached it to our front door. It is there to greet our guests as they come to visit. Although you can't see it, there are some "goodies" inside so our guests will have a little "treat" as they enter our home!

Oh, your wreath is very pretty, Susan! What a great idea to use the paper heart doilies and the angel in the center is so sweet!

Putting the little heart on the door was a very clever idea, Mama. The white ribbon looks so pretty with it, too.

Susan, your wreath is darling! And I just must say -- it makes my heart smile to see your little lady posting to her mom! [Sorry, Bonnie, it's just a mom thing!]
