All I Wanted For Christmas Was . . . . What??

Ah, what to get that special lady in your life for Christmas? Many men struggle with that dilemma every single year. Some ladies want jewels, some want designer clothing or handbags, some even want furs. But not me! No sirree. . . For those of you who read my blog regularly you know how much I love being a homekeeper. As a matter of fact I not only love it, I take great joy and pride in it! So what did a girl like me want for Christmas??

Yep, that's right!! When I opened up the box and saw Miss Martha staring up at me I started to get all giddy with excitement! It is an absolute treasure trove of homekeeping knowledge. I couldn't wait to dive in and start soaking up all 744 pages! A greater gem I couldn't have received. Those ladies can have their Prada and their Gucci , I'd rather have my Martha any day! Besides y'all, it's multifunctional. I can use it as a weight for my workouts starting in January;)

Susan, my sister received this book from my mom this Christmas. I saw her hold it up, but I never got a chance to even hold it in my hands and thumb thru it before she had everything packed up and was out of here bright and early the next morning. Oh well. Maybe I can find it at our library. It looks like a nice thick informative book! Enjoy your special gift! ,

Hello Susan,

I haven't seen this book. I will have to check it out on Amazon or in the bookstore. I love those homekeeping books. Mrs. Dunwoody's is a favorite of mine and I refer to it often.
You will have to check my blog to see one of my gifts. DH knows what I love. It is funny though!!

Hi Susan, I, too, received this book for Christmas, not from my dh though, but from the lady that I do some housekeeping for. She knows how much I love everything to do with housekeeping and Martha Stewart. She wrote in the front cover, "To the best housekeeper I know" which I thought was sweet. This book is so informative...I highly recommend it!

I did receive a Shark cordless handheld vacuum (which is a powerful little machine) from dh and dd plus several Gooseberry Patch cookbooks to add to my collection.

Hi Susan,
As you know from my 'non' comments, I've been MIA a lot lately...but all my precious kindred blogging friends have been in my thoughts! I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and may the Lord bless you 'real good' in 2007!
What a neat gift...somehow this one has slipped past me...I will have to check it out!
Take care and enjoy your New Year's! My husband had hernia repair surgery yesterday, so I imagine our New Year will be quiet!
Love and Prayers,

Amy, my prayers are with you and your husband. I pray he will have a good and fast recovery. God bless.

I checked it our from the library and was disappointed I couldn't renew as there was a waiting list. Worth every penny, based on my quick perusal...enjoy!!
