I've just begun reading your blog lately and have enjoyed it!
Yes, I know the place because my husband and I visited there in September. We enjoyed all of the 3 tours immensley and it was so nice to look back at some of the "History" of this country that we live in. Learning about this man and his home and grounds was very interesting.

Thomas Jefferson's home, Monticello!!!
Susan, we used to live in Albermarle County in the early 90's and as residents got in free to Monticello. It was always so nice to take visitors there. We always enjoyed the big roaring fireplace outside in one of the sheds when waiting for the bus that climbed the mtn.
I love that garden picture, too. I have a picture of my almost 25 year old son standing in the garden when he was about 10. I included it in his graduation scrapbook. We have great memories there.
I was all excited that someone had visited our state and stumbled onto Monticello...and then I saw where you were from. Ooops!
Monticello! I've been there myself so recognized the photos! What fun!
