Pumpkin Candle Holder
Here is just one more inexpensive idea for autumn decorating .All you need for this craft is a craft pumpkin (get one that has a flat bottom so you don't have to worry about tipping over and make sure candle fits in snug and securely.) This is probably better used for decoration purposes only. Tie the raffia around the base of the candle and then put a few drops of glue onto the candle to secure leaves. VOILA! Once again, everything was purchased at the dollar store. Gotta love it!!

I love all of your fall decorating ideas! I've been away from the computer for a few days, and I'm reading like mad trying to catch up!! You've been busy!!

Y'all (how was that for suthren talk?) have much better dollar stores in your neck of the woods than I have near me. Ours are full of junk, junk, junk. I do pretty well at Big Lots, though!

Hi Susan,

We have a Dollar Tree here and also a Dollar General. I will have to stop in and see if they have those leaves and pumpkins. I am so ready for fall and all that goes with it, cooler days, cozy nights, beautiful color on the trees, fall festivals.....

I just wanted to let you know I made your Chicken Divan recipe from July 12th's post and it was sooooo good...even my 'picky' teenager commented that it was pretty good...( and I hardly EVER get comments of any kind on my cooking ..so that's a pretty good endorsement.LOL)
I used Cream of Mushroom instead of the Cream of Chicken.and used California veggies( carrots, cauliflower and broccoli)and probably used a LOT more cheese.and b read crumbs..
this meal is definately going into my files as a 'keeper"..
thanks!!!

anyway....just wanted to let you know how much my family liked your recipe and thank you for sharing it with all of us in blogland

Mrs. U, I hope you have a successful trip to the dollar store!

Jennifer, let me know how it turns out!

copper's wife, we've missed you! We have Big Lot's here in Virginia and they have some good deals as well. Y'all (hee hee) need to get some good dollar stores where you live!

rona, thanks so much for visiting and your very kind comment! The welcome mat is always out for you!

Mary, I'm soooo ready too!

Maggii, I am so happy it was a "hit!" If your teenager liked it that is saying a lot, I know because my kids just got out of their teen years and I know how picky they could be when it was trying new recipes!! I'm so glad you stopped by, thanks for your kind comments. The welcome mat is always out for you!
