Just A Thought
In recent weeks some of my blog friends have been writing about the lost art of letter writing. I think there are many other ladies like me who feel the same way. Y'all are going to think I'm "nuts" but everyday I go to my mailbox a little excited because I always hope that there is a letter or card waiting just for ME! Guess what?? I am quickly shocked back into reality when I pick up a stack of bills (ick) the missing children cards (depressing) or those "we'll give you a credit card for 18% so that you can go into debt for 15 gillion dollars," which is what I really need, more debt!)

You got the picture??!! Which leads me to the reason for this post. I thought it would be so much fun if we were able to do some correspondence with some of our blog buddies. What I'm talking about is sending them a note of encouragement when needed, a birthday card, "I'm thinking of you card," or my favorite, "a just because" card. What I will do is allow several days to go by to see if there is any interest in this and if there is then I will post my email and you can send me your info such as email, address and birthday. I would never share the info on my blog, I would just send each of you participating the info via email.
Like I said it was just a thought! Remember, you can participate as little or as much as you want and correspond with whomever you choose.

As I'm typing this I feel a little bit of excitement because I hear the mail truck on my street! It's probably our gasoline bill( UGH !)LOL
THOUGHTS???

this sounds interesting. I think I might want to join this. I too love getting mail, but it's never just for me.

Great idea, Susan! Who knows? Maybe the "card-sending" will turn into "letter-sending"!

Sounds like fun! Whenever I do get around to sending a letter, I hear about it over and over again. People love getting letters.

I LOVE getting mail, and I've posted several times about the lost art of letter-writing. I definitely think it should be revived. I have two friends now waiting for a letter from me!

I recently started exchanging letters with a blogger in Canada. It's been fun, but I had gotten to know her somehwat thru her blog before we exchanged snail mail addresses.

I think your idea is great, Susan. I'm not sure I really am acquainted at all with any of the commenters so far though. Mrs. U recently left a comment on my blog, but other than you I'm not familiar with the names. Sooo, I don't even know them from the blogosphere. So maybe at this time I'll bow out...and probably be sorry that my mailbox won't be full of personals like all y'alls will!! LOL
