My Faithful Friend
My Crock Pot
As the weather starts to cool my heart starts to long more for quiet nights by the fire wrapped up in cozy, comfy throws. I also start to see a change in my appetite. All summer we have feasted on salads and other cold dishes but as the cool breezes start to blow our way I start to crave "good old comfort food." You know what I'm talking about; thick hearty soups and stews, chilli, cornbread muffins, etc., etc., etc., LOL. I thought it would be a good idea if we could all get together for an online "potluck" by sharing our favorite crockpot recipe! I know you ladies are wonderful cooks and I know you must have some amazing recipes. This will be a good way to get some new "tried and true" recipes that you can make this fall and winter season. Are you with me?? Just leave your favorite recipe in the comment box and over the next week or so bring some recipe cards when you come and visit me. I'll provide the beverage and the dessert;) My mouth is already watering!!

My tastes change as the weather cools too! Sorry though, no crockpot recipes. I don't even own one, though I have thought about it.

I enjoy cooking with my crockpot too. It also reminds me of the cool, crisp autumn weather.

My old faithful crock pot (as old as our middle son!) "died" and I had to replace it with a newer one. I'm not happy with it :o( I don't use it nearly as much because it seems much hotter than the old one and I can't seem to figure out how long to cook things, they usually get overdone in just a few hours. Maybe I bought a faulty one, but too late to correct that, so I guess I'm stuck with the newer version. When they work properly, though, they are wonderful. I guess I wore the old one out! I miss it...
